The enemy

"Because the Enemy does all he can to keep us blinded and discouraged so that we follow any path but the one God has laid out for us."

Really? is it like that actually?

Why is is that psople feel the need to elevate Satan to the same level as God? It is hubris ultimately. Satan, being other than God is more like me, as I am other too.

There is this conception amid otherwise intelligent people that God somehow NEEDS Satan to exist. This implies that God, the all-knowing, is powerless where Satan is concerned. What a steaming pile that is

I agree. God does not need Satan to exist, and furthermore, Satan has no power over God's people.

God, or some similar concept has been accepted by humans nearly since time began. Satan was invented by Catholics to scare "children". End of story.

Actually, the concept of Satan pre-dates the New Testament. He show up in Job. That said, it was not the same entity, more of an adjective.
